Public bug reported: The amd64 Vagrant cloud images for Trusty and Precise (might affect others but have only confirmed with these two) have their OS type set to 32-bit in the VirtualBox .ovf file. This doesn't seem to be an issue when running with a 64-bit host OS, but seems to prevent the VM from starting when on a 32-bit host OS.
The relevant line in the .ovf file is: <vbox:OSType ovf:required="false">Ubuntu</vbox:OSType> which should be: <vbox:OSType ovf:required="false">Ubuntu_64</vbox:OSType> ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1344889 Title: 64-bit Vagrant cloud images use 32-bit OSType To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1344889/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
