I have purged all sphinx related files (both python 2 & 3).
Then reinstalled them. the package was broken, so I force the update of
the packages repo -> the installation has gone well.
Sphinx is working well so far.

The command exit normally (no error, no output).
To switch my sphinx install i just changed the /usr/bin links from
python 2.7 to Python 3.
All the package are good, but some package are strangely not installed
(e.g. python-sphinxbase).
Both python-sphinw & python3-sphinx are installed.

Yes, you are right! The problem is that we cannot simply add
gnome/unity-settings-daemon as required component because it will force
installing almost all GNOME/Unity packages on other sessions (e.g. it can be
annoying for KUbuntu users).

I think that the Gmail icon displayed here is an SVG. Qt usually does not
render SVGs correctly when they are too complex (blur, clipping, transparency).
