installed. openjdk-6-jre-headless (which is installed as a dependency
for icedtea-gcjwebplugin) conflicts the old gcjwebplugin and this

The message itself is harmless, but annoying. See bug #87947, where
libxcb was made to use sloppy locks by default for Hardy. Looks like the
backtrace still gets printed.
Novell applied more complex patch, which ouputs a warning instead of the
backtrace when using sloppy locks :

At least java-gcj-compat-dev, sun-java5-jdk, sun-java6-jdk,
openjdk-6-jdk were added to provide java2-sdk in Hardy. java2-runtime
dependency is wrong which is cause for bug #179447.
I tested the debdiff with openjdk-6 and it worked as expected. Possible
backport may cause issues though as Gutsy
Did you have any JDK installed before installing tomcat5.5 package? If
not, this is probably same as bug #179447.
