I'm silently following this thread for month now and unfortunately nothing worked with Kubuntu (3.0.0-12 generic x86_64) on my 4830 yet :(
I was thinking about buying an external sound card to have at least sound at all. can somebody give me a hand, if it would be possible to access the internal speakers with an external card?
