I'm seeing the same issue since upgrading to 22.04. Running it trough
the command line as indicated above works fine, so it's probably not an
issue with the VPN provider.

Hmm, i'm using the default theme for karmic, and the displayed image is
realy ugly now... I guess the icon for totem is a 32x32 one, and it is
scaled fullscreen making it look damn ugly...
I've attached a screenshot to make this clear...

I succesfully ran the suspend_test script, and it gave no problems.
Afterwards, i tried to suspend from the menu, but when resuming, the
screen stayed black.

Because when I use the Belgian mirror (belnet), I don't lose any
download-quota (i have 4 GB maximum a month), but at home, I don't have
that problem. So if I could switch between the official ftp and the
belgian mirror without to much hassle, that would be cool.

I have this also, halfway during the boot, my screenresolution changes
or something, because i see at the top of my screen the normal ubuntu
logo, but at the bottom of the screen, I can see the half of the upper
part. It's hard to describe, but I guess it has something to do with gdm
starting and

I tried the edgy gnome-power-manager, but it isn't there. My brightness
changes, but the dialog doesn't appear.
I have a Dell Inspiron 6000...
