I wanted to get a better kernel for my computer (with a core 2 duo) so I
downloaded the metapackage from synaptic and then did update-grub. When
I rebooted my wireless card (Atheros AR5212 abg/BCM5751M Gigabit
Ethernet) did not see any networks. I have not tried doing a wire
I fixed the problem simply by removing my .mozilla folder and letting
Firefox make a new one.
As to the questions:
Is this crash reproducible? If so, which are the steps that lead to it?

This is interesting; this bug stopped affecting me when I changed my
theme from human to another one with a smaller titlebar, like crux. So,
I suggest that the default theme be changed so that the titlebar is
about 2-5 pixels smaller.

I, too, confirm this bug. It worked fine in Gutsy; and the network
manager edits the /etc/hosts file so that the first two lines look like:
172.0.0.1 localhost [hostname].[domain]
172.0.1.1 [hostname].[domain]
The second ".[domain]" should not be added; this is the part the messes
with sudo.

Its no big deal but it would be nice if I could set it to flash on
upload/download. Thinkwiki.org does not offer anything on the light...

After going through the windows portion of Wubi successfully, I run into
quirks when I hit Ubuntu to finish the install... The part of the
installer that is "Checking the install" goes past 100% to about 128%
then goes to 10% of the next step. This minor problem occurs befor
I can't check now because I deleted it a while ago and tried again
(getting it to work). I do remember having about 15gb free on my disk
at the time, so I doubt it is fragmentation. Then again it may just be!
