The boot screen shows the password field, bit no input is possible.
Powering off and starting in text mode allows the password input. This
happenedafter upgrade to 14.10 in a VirtualBox environment.

received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'
moving a window shouldn't be a problem because you can move with the menu-part,
too.
Anyway even if canonical thinks like you, they could add a dconf option so
this can be configured with the unity tweak tool

in the window's title bar".
