Using:

* Ubuntu Saucy nightly image (from Aug 27th) on USB stick
* Starting Live (didn't install Ubuntu)
When I hit Fn+F2 (which shows a switch wireless icon), nothing happens.
I expected it to

Fn+F2 (switch wireless) doesn't work on Asus 1015e

Unfortunately, using Saucy nightly from Live USB Stick, I can't use
apport-collect, because it requires installation of python-apport, and
sudo apt-get install python-apport is failing on a 404 on the saucy
repository.

I could get LiveCD to work on Asus EeePC 1015e (win 8 pre-installed).
Fix for 1123403 was necessary to get it to work, I used a recent image of
nightly build from
I just tested a recent nightly build from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ on a Asus EeePC 1015e with
Windows 8 pre-installed.
I had to disable Secure Boot from UEFI (as shows here
http://img2.uplood.fr/free/shic_188.jpg ) and it worked.

Just try the default process with the latest nightly build of Ubuntu Saucy
amd64:
1. Made a bootable USB from ISO
2. Start EeePC 1015e hitting Escape
3. Chose UEFI Generic Flash Disk
4. Grib starts, and I select Try Ubuntu without Installing
5. Got blank (black) screen immediatly and nothing more
I removed the duplicate flag as comment #3 seems to show that both bugs
are not directly related.

I just bought a Asus 1015e with Win8 on it (only OS available out-of-the-box
for 1015e in France) and I'd like, if possible, to install a valid Ubuntu on it.

Got it with EOG 3.4.2 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
A workaround is to use Shotwell, but it is not very satisfying for an end-user.

Note that blacklisting Eclipse does not make a lot of sense. RCP applications
based on Eclipse are not blacklisted, so it's not consistent.
Either you should blacklist all SWT-based applicaitons, either you should
blacklist none of them.
