and it works. Sorry for the inconvenience.
(perhaps one should consider pushing these two upstream instead of the fist
one?)...

Apparently only set the default backlight level to something
reasonable patch was applied to 3.13, so I don't have the
radeon_encoder_add_backlight function, thus this won't work at all.
Would you suggest I first apply the patch published here on 2014-09-17?

Hi, it took me quite some time to get here, but hopefully you can still solve
my problem.
I'm running a 2006 Intel iMac (Core Duo) under Unbuntu 12.04LTS server, which
sits on my desk and almost never log to the console, which would normally go
blank a few minutes after boot.

But when I retry several times (1-10) then in the end the port will bind.

Same issue with Lucid Lynx.
Copying 3 huge files (80GB total, sparse files) from an external XFS
formatted USB2 hard drive to an NTFS partition took over 1500 minutes
*CPU time* to mount.ntfs.
in case it really matters: AMD dual core, 3 GB RAM, SATA2 internal
drive.

regression from Andy's patched 2.6.28-11.43 kernel not just for 701SD
but the 900 SD as well.

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04. The dedicated volume control keys (up,
down, mute) no longer work on my IBM Thinkpad X41. They do not register
on the keyboard shortcuts menu. They worked perfectly fine on 8.04 and
8.10
