I would argue that, whether there was a control center option or not, the guest account logon should be off by default. It only invites trouble. For me, trouble had the face of my children while I was at work. =) Please consider defaulting that setting to off. I do not mind so much the option,

To summarise: Had similar issues[1] when closing the screen with v10.04. Now after a fresh install and all updates (as of 4/11/2010), the splash screen flashes, goes blank, locks up and gets hot. Edited xorg.conf[2], everything works until I close the screen, then it goes blank, locks up and gets

I have a Dell C400 running Lubuntu (happened in Ubuntu as well) 10.04 that is exhibiting the same behavior. When I attempted to add the option ForceEnablePipeA to my xorg.conf file I learned that Xorg now favors auto-configuration and does not start with a configuration file. Please advise.

I know this may not be the same problem, but this bug was as close a match as I could find. I have 768 MB of physical memory, the installer created a 881 MB swap partition, everything looks fine in org.freedesktop.upower.policy, it worked in 9.10 and yet... I do not have the option to hibernate.
