[Bug 1434986] Re: Not working network connection after boot

DNS doesn't work for me after reboot either. My workaround is to manually add DNS entries to /etc/resolv.conf nameserver 8.8.8.8 nameserver 8.8.4.4 I previously tried adding these via gnome-control-center, but it doesn't respect these settings. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS

[Bug 1805025] Re: gnome-control-center power - 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' soft blocks wifi device

2018-11-25 Thread Nathan L. Adams
Running 'sudo rfkill unblock wifi' alone is NOT a workaround. After toggling 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' to OFF, gnome-control- center wifi reports "No Wi-Fi Adapter Found". The only 'workaround' is to leave 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' set to ON, and to run 'sudo rfkill unblock wifi' on

[Bug 1805025] [NEW] gnome-control-center power - 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' soft blocks wifi device

2018-11-25 Thread Nathan L. Adams
Public bug reported: The 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' setting defaults to ON. Toggling 'Turn off Wi-Fi to save power' to OFF causes the wifi device to be soft blocked. BEFORE$ sudo rfkill list all 0: hci0: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 1: phy0: Wireless LAN
