I can confirm this works on 32bit as well

There is still something weird going on. I upgraded from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 and the
same thing happened as with the upgrade from 4.2.0 to 4.2.1 (Plasma wouldn't
start until I had removed plasma-appletsrc and plasmarc)
I am using the nvidia binary driver (nvidia geforce 8400M with twinview)

What version of nvidia-180-kernel-source and nvidia-glx-180 are you
running.
I was experiencing high cpu with 180.44 downgrading to 180.37 fixed it
for me

.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc was using /usr/sbin/mysqld instead of
/usr/sbin/mysqld-akonadi
So I moved it and restarted akonadi and it recreated it with
ServerPath=/usr/sbin/mysqld-akonadi

I'm getting a a lot of crashes when I start kde but the applications that it
says have crashed haven't crashed.
I think this one was update-notifier that crashed. This was happening
before the upgrade to qt 4.5rc1

When you right click on it to fix it instead of highlighting the word
the charatcers highlighted are the same length as the word but instead

and .profile is the one that adds
I had a problem with kded racing when inserting media (cd and usb) and I
deleted .kde/share/config/?.kde/share/config/mediamanagerrc and I
haven't changed any media related settings since then and it hasn't come
back (the problem or the file).
