I worked around the missing package in Precise/Linux Mint 13 by
searching for the quantal package on the Ubuntu Packages repository and
manually downloading and installing the .deb.

multiple times to a single photo to reproduce the bug.

I'm getting this bug with gtk-recordmydesktop in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic. The
program gets to the encoding step of the process and then hangs. Given
that it works fine on my 9.04 machine, i think the problem may be
related to this bug on sourceforge:
I haven't submitted this bug upstream, and haven't had a chance to test
it on karmic yet.
