Been running on Juerg's 4.15.0-153 kernel for 5 hours without any known
issues. /var/crash has no new files in it. Have printed a very small
number of pages over wifi. Majority of use with Firefox and Brave with
no issues. Getting much happier with this new kernel. THANKS!!

Tried this kernel on my Entroware system as per the initial reporter in
this thread(Nick White). Bad news the system hung with just the mouse
pointer showing prior to displaying the login screen. kern.log has lots

My system didn't have any libreoffice-l10n packages installed and I also
get these errors. I'd tried the suggestions above and none worked so
tried the following:-
~$ sudo apt-get install libreoffice-l10n
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information...
I started apport as Brian suggested, and used apt-get to reinstall the
package. However it went perfectly smoothly this time; no errors or
segfaults. So let's just put this down to chance ;)
Thanks for your responses and patience.

Workaround pushed upstream;

Commit message:
Add new intermediate certificates that Microsoft have started using to
sign the SSL cert for omega.contacts.msn.com, because their server
admins are incompetent
It would probably be nice to add a patch adding the two ca certificates
added in the revision to the ubuntu packages.
I can confirm that manually copying them to /usr/share/purple/ca-certs/
solves the problem.

I found the same problem when I upgraded from 9.04 to 10.04.
Specifically, I was remapping another key to Control_L, with
xmodmap -e 'keycode 133 = Control_L'
xmodmap -e 'add Control = Control_L'
But the 'add Control = Control_L' line fails, with the same error
mentioned above.

The i386 version is good, but not perfect for me.
I get garbling (sounds like 2 streams simultaneously playing about .5
seconds out of sync) if I press the pause button and the play button in
quick succession (say 1 second). The terminal then says:

I can confirm this.
Further, the rewind, fast-forward and volume control buttons don't work.
Presumably the mozilla-mplayer plugins doesn't yet interact with the

Almost forgot: I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 and mozilla-mplayer-3.40-5ubuntu5.
Happy to help with testing etc.
Thanks.

Bugs,
I'm not familiar with the mplayerplug-in codebase, but it looks to me
like all that may be needed is to implement CanPlay(void),
CanPause(void) and CanStop(void), each returning NS_OK, e.g. adding to
Source/nsScriptablePeer.cpp code of the form:
NS_IMETHODIMP nsScriptablePeer::CanPause(void)
