I installed ubuntu and choose to put GRUB on my partition /dev/sda5 because I
have multiple installations of linux.
When the packages grub-pc and grub-common were updated, I got the MBR
overridden.
This should never happen!

If my system starts up with mute volume, the indicator.volume does not show the
correct icon, and chooses the one as the volume was not mute.
Hitting the mute button twice solves the problem
