During shutdown, usplash stats too late: there is a 1 second delay
between Xorg stop and usplash start, in which I see lots of debug
messages. Unfortunately I can't read them, since 1 second is too short.

Before saying it's fix release I would like to ask you an additional question:
I just opened pidgin and empathy, then I closed pidgin.
In the indicator applet I see a separator below Evolution, as if pidgin was
still running.

Hi, I have a dell latitude 6400 laptop with an intel 4500 mobile graphics card.

disable power management.

software store should display the real package name, if different from
the corresponding .desktop file, so that the package is more
recognizable

Lots of application icons look blurred when opening the description. Maybe
there's no icon for that size or svg.
In this case the biggest available icon should be displayed to avoid the blur

Yes I thought of the search display... That's because if you need to
see the name you have to double click. While in the search display
there's plenty of unused space next to the .desktop file name
