I fixed (sort of). I just reinstalled Ubuntu. But...I have a new problem
that i am just about to post.

When I try to download applications or install updates it comes up with the
message, E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a'
to correct the problem.
E: _cache-open() failed, please report.
What do I use to run it manually?

I am using Ubuntu Feisty 7.4. I dont know what you mean by, what does
sudo ls -l /home/daniel/.ICEauthority display?
