This happens to me in Ubuntu 9.10 when I try to login as hidden in an MSN account: 1) I start Empathy. 2) I open the combo box and select Hidden. 3) I am logged in but the status is Busy. 4) If I now select Hidden again then it works and my status becomes Hidden. -- Setting status to 'Hidden'

Tested on 9.04 with same bad result when a drive has invalid characters on the end of the title. Solved by: Preferences -- Sensors -- hddtemp -- double click on the Label field of offending hard drive. The applet saved the configuration after this change. Please correct this bug. -- gnome

It was some time ago but I did ended up solving this matter by removing the above mentioned package. The package was downloaded from a direct network connection to the internet. The error would be reported every time the synaptic manager was called, the bug report mentions a time when the LAN
