About 15 min or so prior to that and trying to re-open after the stalled
app, yes I was trying to right click and delete a file in my home
folder.

So my confusion to all this is why would X have separate entries to
enable Hot-Pluggable devices which should normally be available
without it?
Is this because of KDE4?
Thanks and any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Vincent, the HP Pavilion laptops don't offer an option to disable legacy
USB in the BIOS. I'm sure there are others (models, brands etc) that are
the same. This would be a problem.
My issue has since gone away with the Sunday AM updates to KDE4. Even

That Sunday AM update of KDE files seems to have fixed me. I've had no
issues running the 2.6.27-7 Kernel since then.

Here's the text of this output.
Could this be tied to the nVidia driver considering the hardware is
nVidia?
I also noticed that this morning's updates really foobar'd the system. I
have yet to update the kernel but my USB quit working after I installed
Samba. Updated caused an automated reboot
my lsusb lspci info as requested.

Now this is weird. I kept my system on the 2.6.27-4 kernel version,
added this morning's udpates which were mostly for KDE4. Mouse suddenly
quit working. After some deliberation I updated to the 2.6.27-7 kernel
and now my external USB mouse, USB Stick and sdmedia all work fine.
