This bug Persists in 9.04 (Jaunty). There is no option to set the
encryption type in the KDE network manager. This makes it impossible for
me to log into the network at my school.

I am also experiencing this problem on my Dell M1530. During boot, the
computer sounds like it is going into v-fib. occasionally, the computer
does not finish booting, and I have to hard reset. System has a fresh
install of 8.10, fully updated.

regression: usplash causes system to beep aloud
Cannot attach logs. Reinstall of OS after bug occurs is the only
solution thus far found.
Currently running fresh install at 1250x768 with nv drivers, since
installing nvidia drivers will immediately kill OS.

nVidia driver from repo renders ubuntu unusable

After installing nVidia driver from the repositories via the restricted
manager in 8.04, ubuntu no longer has a display. Upon completion of the
boot splash, ubuntu goes to a black screen. Monitor deactivates due to
lack of input. Cannot get to command line. Hard reboot

hibernate results have changed to an auto shutdown, rather than a
freeze. Also, the file corruption problem appears to have gone away.
Still unable to successfully suspend or hibernate.
