Sometimes the update-notifier packages gets updated by Ubuntu. Then if
you don't recompile / build new packages with the patches provided by
Forest PPA, you may loose capabilities given by the patches.
You can simply block any update to the update-notifier packages by
running these Terminal cmd.

In the meantime I have experienced stuck buttons a few times, but a lot
less frequently. It seems to help to disable the trackpad in the BIOS.
It may be related to waking up from a sleep state (wild conjecture).

The last known working network-manger-applet/gnome version for Xenial is
1.0.10-1ubuntu1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/somerville/ford-
constantine/+bug/1571479/comments/6
it used to work fine on Xenial daily builds built before 3/29.
It looks like to be a regression.

Before upgrade to 16.04, I could select "change (or switch) user" from
the indicator applet (on the top right of the screen in gnome-shell).
Since 16.04, this option has vanished, only "close session" and "account
parameters" are present.
