The app is monitoring the folders in the file system and no action
should be required from the user. For some reason a file saved in this
way is not detected although the log indicates the app detected some
activity. Try to reproduce on a desktop session.

I recently experienced this, my account was not invalidated yet certain
updates that had previously failed would not retry, and failed with
unauthorized. I modified the updatestore.db to remove the rows for the
failed entries, and the updates worked.
So effectively somehow a failed update logged

@anupam thats an interesting theory, I got a log of when the power
button is pressed and it goes from paused to stopped almost instantly,
whereas your logs generally show a delay and stopped is only issued once
the call is answered.
@jim I still thinks its a thread issue in media hub, I can't get
I tested it and it is much better although obviously still lacks any
indication things are happening. Along with a note for people to expect
it to take some time on the boot screen should be ok until we can
address it further.

I was referring to the controls for vibration under sounds in system
settings, but the model is quite inconsistent with the other
notifications as you point out. There is no way to turn on/ff the
bubbles or disable sound entirely outside of silent mode.

we need to regenerate the compiled profiles for installed apps when new
rules are provided. This needs to be done before any apps can be
launched, so unity8 cannot be started. We could consider starting usc
but unsure the dependencies there.
Can repowerd simply hold a lock
I just ran into this with Contacts. The lock file was created in April
but removing it restored the app. Seems it got corrupted on a recent
run. I was testing startup time and opening and closing the apps.
Do we have any line on a fix for this? or is it no longer present for
5.6?

Alarm doesn't ring when screen locked
To manage notifications about this bug go to:
Theory is that the phone suspends before the alarm sound can be played.
In that case pushing the power button or waking on the 5 min poll timer
will then sound the alarm. However we do request that repowerd keeps the
system awake when we issue the alarm or notification. We wait for the
system dbus
what is the output of
gsettings get com.ubuntu.notifications.settings.applications applications
if its blank, then we need to figure out why that didn't get set properly
