I noticed that the problem occurs when I created online accounts on gnome 3.
When the account is created in empathy there is no problem.
By cons msn avatars do not rise.

MSN and WLM contacts change their status (away, busy, ...) by cons when
they are disconnected they remain posted in the last known status which
