I was using linux-image-5.8.0-55-generic:amd64 - this kernel still has the issues. Reverting to 5.8.0-48 removes the issues. Changing to the 5.4 kernel (latest) also removes the issues -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.

Have this same issue in 20.04 with xubuntu. If launching via menu launcher - it runs with no parameters (update-manager) - and it reports that there are 400+MB of updates required, but I get no details of what they are. If launching from shell with no-update parameter (update-manager
