I'm testing Kubuntu 8.04 and this issue only applies when doing 'sudo kate' but
not with 'kdesu/kdesudo kate'.
Additionally there are similar errors for /tmp/ksocket-user and

Public bug reported:
Since the upgrade to the new gutsykernel a few days ago, my wlan refuses to
load.
When i un- and replug the stick dmesg shows me this:
[ 2996.941113] usb 6-2: USB disconnect, address 2
[ 3000.481399] usb 6-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 4

I got update-manager 0.45.4 installed, and it still gives me no option to
upgrade, same goes for 0.45.2...
Nothing I did, including starting with a clean .update-manager folder shows me
the button to upgrade to feisty.
Are there any news and/or suggestions on this bug?
