When selecting a wireless network name in the network settings app
(System Settings - Network), under Network Name you can see the name of
the currently associated network, with the ability to cause the drop
down list to expand by selecting the down arrow at the far right
I've been following this bug since the release of Ubuntu 10.10 with
utter exasperation, totally dismayed that it's not even been assigned to
someone months after release, frustrated at not being able to upgrade my
personal laptop because it has Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

As of 1.3+svn-26122008-0ubuntu6 I'm no longer seeing this issue.

libopenctl includes libOpenCTL.so.0.9.9 and
libOpenCTL.so.0.6 but not the required libOpenCTL.so.0.4.

I can also confirm that banshee_1.2.1-3ubuntu2+hyper2_i386.deb fixed the
same problem for me with a Creative Microphoto 8GB.
Many thanks for the fix, this will make the people whose computer I've
just put Ubuntu on happy.

Banshee hangs up/crashes when pluggin in MTP-USB-Player
at
http://www.linuxtv.org/downloads/firmware/ but isn't now, though there
are firmwares there for revisions 1 and 2 of the device.
You need to save the firmware in /lib/firmware.
