I should have added, on the Lenovo the cable goes straight into the
notebook (it has an HDMI port) while with the XPS 13 I need to use a
Thunderbold adapter for attaching the HDMI cable.

I'm using the same cable in both cases, yes. For attaching the Lenovo X1
Carbon (non-working) as well as the XPS 13 Developer Edition (working).
It's a higher quality, thick textile wrapped cable with golden

With an API approach it should be possible to build a telephony app that
handles contacts in a uniform manner. By this it could be possible to
maintain the telephone contacts and social contacts as separate data
sources, yet still allowing a unified user experience in a single app

2 different countries, so very rarely (almost never) I use them both at

energy).

I had the impression that this feature/change would make it into OTA-11.
I updated yesterday and the rear camera is still the default.
Canonical could have cheering from technology press with sweet working
video chat via the Appear.in webapp. You guys don't seem to want that.
Why? What's wrong?
This is a useful default (probably for everything apart from photo
shooting apps), and will hopefully land in OTA-11 for real.
