Public bug reported: I just did a few runs of do-release-upgrade to get from 12.04 to 14.04, just as I have been doing upgrades for some time now. ITo my surprise, one of the upgrades has wiped /var/www and overwritten it with the default data. I have kept all my www-data under /var/www/ and
