Create tvtime.sh script with the following content:
tvtime
arecord -D hw:1,0 -r 32000 -c 2 -f S16_LE | aplay -
Then, start tvtime via this script.
BTW, 310i card has audio input port, witch you can connect with AUX-Out on the
computer mainboard;

Ubuntu Maverick with ATI RADEON
After updating: libc6 libc-dev-bin linux-libc-dev libc6-dev libc6-i386
linux-image-2.6.35-23-generic ia32-libs libc-bin empathy(from PPA)
and installing bluez-utils bluez-hcidump bluez-compat , the problem with
progress bar of recording is gone. I can now record sound with gnome-
sound-recorder
I am using built-in Mic

This is probably the Pinnacle 310i problem only. I have same problem
and same tv-tuner. Tested under Gutsy and Hardy. All things working
normal except the remote RC1144201_00 with lirc and kdetv with this
tv-tuner.
