this *problem re-surfaced* for me recently
cause & solution:
* there was a snap package installed, `gtk-themes-common` (I think)
* it clashed with the system installed gtk-theme Yaru
* removal of the snap solved my problems

graphic driver, but I still can log into my computer, the desktop didn't

unfortunatley, I am able to reproduce it quite easily! ;o)
I am trying to create a slide show with music of our holiday pics for a
christmas DVD (you now, for the grandparents ;o)
This is what I do:
1. open console
2. Start pitivi by PITIVI_DEBUG=*:5 GST_DEBUG=2 /usr/bin/pitivi
no other machine available, but thanks for taking the time...

I am using Rhythmbox 0.11.2, recently I selected a song and accidentally
chose move to trash after right clicking. The file was removed and NOT
placed in the trash can. That is, it was permanently deleted from
Rhythmbox and and my hard drive.
