I noticed a change when I booted up today, before trying any of the
above suggestions. The print jobs now stall in the Document print
status window with the status showing as pending. When I try to
cancel the jobs I get the following error:

1. The bug occurs in Feisty.
2. In /usr/share/wodim/README.ATAPI.setup it says Only users part of the
system group cdrom are able to write CDs.

I also confirm this problem with GnomeBaker. Cannot write or erase a
CDRW by starting GnomeBaker the normal way by clicking it from
Applications menu. Can only write or blank a CDRW if I start GnomeBaker

Michael, this is in response to your query asking for clarification on
my comment about the closed lid anomaly. What I mean is as follows.
Under System-Preferences-Power Management, set When laptop lid is
closed: to Do nothing. Set Put computer to sleep when it is inactive
for: to say 15 minutes.

fixing the Suspend feature on my laptop. My laptop has an ATI graphics
card. When I was using Dapper, I had enabled hardware 3D acceleration by
using the ATI proprietaty driver. When I upgraded to Edgy, I lost the 3D

I confirm that laptop HP nc8000 does not wake after suspend-to-disk in
edgy beta 2.6.17-10.33. The suspend part seems to work fine. The power
light goes into blinking mode, indicating that the laptop is in suspend
state. After pressing the power button to wake the laptop, the power
light comes on
I confirm the random apperance and disappearance of a horizontal line at
the fixed relative distance below the cursor, on my laptop. This has
begun since upgrading to edgy beta. Never happend with dapper. Please
ask if you need any more info about the specifics of my setup. As I am
