Reverting back to Upstart removed my problem. cups updated successfully
and works fine. Thanks to all for support.

cups fails to
I starting cups via sudo /usr/sbin/cupsd
and it looks like it started, because no errors.
After that:
apt-get download cups
sudo dpkg -i --force-confmiss cups_*.deb
I wrote in my previous post log of dpkg.
Now I move on its place cupsd.conf: sudo mv cupsd.conf /etc/cups/
and tryed again sudo
r3m@r3m-HP-620:~$ initctl list
initctl: Name com.ubuntu.Upstart does not exist
r3m@r3m-HP-620:~$ initctl --system list
initctl: Name com.ubuntu.Upstart does not exist
r3m@r3m-HP-620:~$ status dbus
status: Name com.ubuntu.Upstart does not exist
All these commands warn me about this Upstart
r3m@r3m-HP-620:~$ dpkg -s upstart
Package: upstart
Status: install ok installed
Multi-Arch: foreign
Priority: required
Section: admin
Installed-Size: 1040
Maintainer: James Hunt james.h...@ubuntu.com
Architecture: amd64
Version: 1.5-0ubuntu7
Replaces: startup-tasks, system-services, sysvinit
Oh. My apologies. Some time ago i changed upstart to systemd. What I
need to do then?

I tried to follow instructions, but on step
sudo stop cups
sudo start cups
I get error:
stop: Не удается подключиться к Upstart: Failed to connect to socket
/com/ubuntu/upstart: В соединении отказано
start: Не удается подключиться к Upstart: Failed to connect to socket
I have same problem on amd64 architecture on machine HP 620.
Please, help me, what steps I need to do to add more info about my bug.
