This bug was reported against Ubuntu 11.10. The initscripts package in
Ubuntu 11.10 includes an /etc/rc.local file that is marked executable.
I don't know whats marked as
I can confirm this bug.
The reason is simple: /etc/rc.local isn't executable after installation.
So chmod -x /etc/rc.local makes the trick.
