The reason I chimed in here was because I was in the middle of

This is happening for me every time I start Evolution. I seem to
remember it successfully starting up at least once after the upgrade to
Karmic, but now it crashes every time.
I'm running i686 Ubuntu 9.10.
I've installed the debug symbols, yet when gdb starts up, it keeps there are no
debug sy
I'd term this a workaround, as it gets the current package installed
while we wait for a fix.
My preferred solution is to install the current package (which installs
r48), instead of these ad-hoc work arounds (that install r115) which may
have problems when the package is fixed.
