I don NOT have the problem in OpenOffice.
Forcing Display to 96 DPI did NOT solve the problem.
And I'm running Ubuntu 8.04.1.

Same problem here, even on a clean install (note to self: Must check
bugs before reinstalling :o).
Only on Messenger, not on ICQ.
