I agree with everything stated in comment #2 except that it's not 2017, *It's 2020, come on.*
Call me a superficial but I enjoy a nice and tidy home folder and this is the only reason why I go for the repos (currently on Void Linux) or in certain cases flatpaks over snaps. I would love to go for snaps. Just listened to episode 2 of season 13 of the Ubuntu Podcast where Popey had packaged up "ncspot" into a snap. I go to the ncspot github page and try installing it with cargo, the rust package thing and it fails with horrible error messages - no ncspot for me then. Who do I pay and how much does the person in charge/responsible want to fix this? People all-over the planet will rejoice when this gets fixed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575053 Title: Please move the "$HOME/snap" directory to a less obtrusive location To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1575053/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
