I found it rather surprising that you need to be in the LXD group to run
this initial configuration command - with sudo.
Is there a good reason why it needs to be the case? Could we at least
add some messaging prompting the user to add themselves to the lxd
group?

Same issue with Dell XPS 13 9350 and Ubuntu 15.10. The graphical
"reboot" and "shut down" buttons don't do anything, and from the CLI I
get:
$ reboot
Failed to execute operation: Transaction is destructive.
I imagine it's associated with closing the lid to suspend because when I
first start the

Same problem in 14.04. Ejecting and `sudo killall nautilus` fixed it for
me.
