April 2010.
** Changed in: libcanberra (Ubuntu Intrepid)
Status: Confirmed = Invalid
The bug isn't present in current versions of the kernel. I use Karmic
the same PC and everything is working properly.
I believe that the bug can be closed.

(Google translator portuguese to english. Sorry!)

This problem (freezing) does not let me install Ubuntu Jaunty. If I
choose to pass the kernel parameters noapic for example, the boot
continues, but the detection problem is the resolution of my video card,
the resolution is low (low resolution 800x600 when the correct would
be 1208x1024).

Jaunty 2.6.28 kernel freezing during boot
I'm using the Intrepid (8.10 alpha 5) and the icons themes options is
not working properly. If you select the theme default, OpenOffice uses
the Human-Theme. If you select the theme of Crystal, OpenOffice uses
the Human-Theme, if you select the theme Tango, OpenOffice uses the
theme Human-Theme.
This problem happens to me. I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid) with
OpenOffice.org 2.4.1. The problem also occurs with gedit, Gnome Console
(terminal) and others.
The layout ABNT2 (Brazil) provides a dot . on the numeric keypad, just
below the + sign, as shown routed by Renato S. Yamane(see figure
I'm using Seahorse 2.4.0 in the Ubuntu 8.10 and I was looking for a key
PGP in the keyserver(search remote keys), the application failed
(crash).
I was looking for key... dialog box Search for keys containing:
rodrigomessiasbarros... the application crash...
see is attached
