Facing the issue during installation as:
...
Building module:
cleaning build area
make KERNELRELEASE=4.13.0-45-generic -C /lib/modules/4.13.0-45-generic/build
M=/var/lib/dkms/tp-smapi/0.41/build(bad exit status: 2)
Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 4.13.0-45-generi
I got same error while running 'apt-get install ubuntu-desktop'
Ran following command then fired install command. It worked
systemctl start NetworkManager

I found that while 0.87.27 is unavialble, .29,.30, and .31 are
available. I editted meta-release-lts and changed .27 to .31 and it
seems to be working now.
