This is how I solved problem of printing to windows network printer. Step 1: Ensure bi-directional support is not enabled on windows shared printer.
Step 2: Open terminal and type: system-config-printer Step 3: Add network printer via samba. Make sure you set windows username and password. Step 4: press forward, select printer make, forward, printer type, forward.
