This is a fairly non-technical bug report, but something I find
extremely annoying and other people as well on the internet, but no bug
report was reported until now.
My setup is like this, I have a laptop and an external monitor (both
same resolution) at work. My day goes li
I think I made a mistake. I forgot that I previously added the x-org
edgers ppa. I removed the ppa now, and reverted back to the out-of-the-
box packages in ubuntu, and now (first boot), everything seems fine.
I will come back if the bug returns, but for now, let's blame the x-org
edgers ppa. So m
I can confirm this with host ubuntu 12.10 beta 2, and guest ubuntu 12.04

Before and after I installed bumblebee I often have title bar
corruptions for inactive windows. I attached a screenshot.
I am not a regular bug committer, so please bear with me. If something

This is happening too on my new laptop. (NVidia GTX660M + Intel HD 4000,
intel 3rd gen i7, HDD+SSD)
Suspend works absolutely fine when triggered from the menu, but closing
the lid doesn't do anything.

I have exact the same issue with the fglrx (post-release update)
version. But sometimes I don't even get as far as that, and I'm left
with only a black screen. So maybe I'm suffering from two bugs.

I'm also having this problem, each time I connect to eduroam (the
european educational network), which obviously has tons of connected
devices. (I don't know the exact configuration of this network).
Still persists on ubuntu 12.04...

@lukehoersten This is something I also noticed (without the new repos),
with the remark that this became more significant AFTER heavy operations
(backups, compiling, high-CPU image processing).
So even after these processes had completely terminated, this slowed
down the responsivenes of my entire
@Daniel: I'm also looking into which package solved my problem. But
maybe I was suffering from two bugs.
Adding the compiz PPA smoothened my whole desktop experience a lot (but
introduced the flickers as I was talking about), the unity PPA helped
lowered my compiz usage and GPU temp. I'm not a lot

my problem. Compiz running fine < 10% (used to be 40%), after pushing my
graphics card my GPU temp was 100°C, nog only about 65°C.
