I can successfully pair the headset, but I cannot select it in sound
settings to send music through it. `pactl list cards short` only lists
alsa_card.pci-_00_1b.0 and nothing from bluez.

I have found that if I compile from source, I can work around the
problem. Here are the commands I used:
$ ./configure --with-gtk2
$ make
$ su
# make install
The --with-gtk2 switch makes the difference.

This is a correction to my previous post:
280.13 does not work in Precise due to the X server being a newer version. I
installed 295.10 and the everything is working once again.

These bugs are also in 295.40. I reverted back to 280.13 (the same as I
was using in Oneiric without the problem) and the problem is gone.
