I believe so. I already had it in there before adding the [Option
RegistryDwords EnableBrightnessControl=1] bit but thought it may be

Yes, it happens after restarting Firefox (and after restarting the
computer itself).
No extensions - have disabled ubufox but no change.
As for steps to reproduce it - it started after the today's Jaunty
updates and was fine before - can't think of anything I've done to cause
it, and it happens

I have a 802.11g WPA2 PSK-encrypted network. My laptop (running Ubuntu
8.04) doesn't get an IP address when it starts up. I have to do sudo
ifup --force eth1 in the console.

Not sure what versions I was using at that time.
I'm currently using Ubuntu 7.10 with the latest versions of Firefox and
Wireshark available through apt-get.
Wireshark help no longer seems to wipe bookmarks when loading Firefox, but just
to hide them until Firefox is restarted.

Nevermind - the original bug seems fixed (though it was definitely a bug
when I filed the report) and the hidden bookmarks when I retried in 7.10
is just because it was running as root.

I have the same problem - lock screen no longer works since upgrading from
Dapper to Edgy. AFAICT my hardware (ATi Mobility Radeon X1300) doesn't support
Option VideoOverlay on
with the fglrx drivers packaged with Edgy (it won't do acceleration when you
have it on). So I can't use that
Ah, ok that works. The acceleration issue I mentioned is just it
complaining about not supporting Xv if you try to enable it.
