specific change. In most probability this was a hardware glitch. So this

Binary package hint: gdm
Display freezes during login when nVidia accl graphics driver (version
177) is selected. The nvidia logo is partly seen along with vertical red
dotted streaks and random white rectangular patches. Then the display
goes blank. no mouse or keyboard act
Sometimes my desktop just freezes. and there are some vertical blue
dotted streaks across the screen. The mouse works but nothing on the
desktop can be clicked.
Assuming some compatibility error due to any recently installed
software, I did a clean install of the OS. But the proble still
persists.
