Thanks for the fix. I tested it on my end and I confirmed this bug as
being fixed. I can now restart and shutdown via gdm.

i got an email about released. I also notice on here that a fix has been

Ok, odd if its been in the system that long, from may when in alpha state,
then why did they let it go and appear in the final. I wonder if we could
downgrade to an older gdm version that works. As its

I found in ubuntu 19.10 that on the GDM login screen, the dropdown menu
with power button, don't work for restart or power off. We have to login
and restart or power off after logging in. I am not sure what package
the GDM power menu is in.
