Hi,
I regularly have systems with /boot full due, I believe, to this issue and had
an example this morning.
Manually running "apt-get autoremove" deleted kernels+headers for the
last 10 kernels or so. How can that be automated?
Above one refers to version .76ubuntu1.2, and I have
An update to #8: I no longer have this issue, but am not sure why.
Installed another 14.04 laptop and it worked fine, no need change
/etc/pam.d/lightdm /etc/pam.d/lightdm-greeter either.
Tips:
after joining the domin (e.g. net rpc getsid; net rpc join), try some of the
following to verify

Er, I've been just bitten by this feature too.
Having the habit of using /etc/init.d/* (since it works on many
different platforms and my fingers learned it many years ago) I presumed
that would at some stage be replaced by the service command - but not
that networking would be started in some

Fix:
Verisign's 2009 ROOT certificate is missing, so download it an install
it.
1) Copy the Root CA from Symantec:
https://knowledge.verisign.com/support/ssl-certificates-
support/index?page=contentid=AR1556
2) Save to a file like verisign2009.crt in
/usr/local/share/ca-certificates/
$ sudo

update-ca-certificates --fresh or c_rehash does not fix the issue for
me.
Whereas your example with ev-root.digicert.com is ok, the other tests I
mentioned are not OK

So apparmor is not correctly configured then? What apparmor config
change is needed?
By settings into complain mode, presumably after a reboot, apparmor will
log errors again?

I found a fix:
copy Verisign_Class_3_Public_Primary_Certification_Authority.crt from a
lucid/10.04 system (in /usr/share/ca-certificates/mozilla)
Sounds a bit whacky, but invalid certs have been delivered with 12.04?
I did a diff, the changes between 10.04 and 12.04 in that directory for

FYI.
I tested a daily server build of Ubuntu 12.04 beta today. The (duplicate)
issue 938520 I had noted on /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/network/interfaces is
fixed :-)

Public bug reported:
I install a beta server daily build to test the new release.
The installation went just fine, and after logging on the console, I wanted to
install the lamp stack via the usual
tasksel install
but there were only 3 option: basic ubuntu server, openssh, or manual package
That sound interesting, can this patch be got into 12.04/precise, which is in
alpha right now?
Have you any influence or ideas to get fixes committed for 12.04?

I agree with both #3 and #4, its a question of whats the best compromise,
whether its too late in the release cycle, and if not, what is the procedure to
do fast track in a key change in a controlled and successful way.
This issue is obviously much more important for the server edition.
