Tried a clean install with a PAE-kernel and experienced a non-working installer
for restricted drivers.
To be more precise, the compilation of the fglrx-module seems to fail due to a
missing or

I suspected that because the process building the fglrx-module always
died with an error related to a Kbuild-file. This file did not
actually exist in the PAE-tree but as a symlink to the regular kernel
sources. Nevertheless, in my case, there was merely this link and no
file at the linked spot
