This bug exists in 14.04 with fresh updates. Installing libgnutls26 is
no longer possible, as it breaks depends for other packages. Version of
libgnutls26 from sid doesn't fix the bug.
Can I do something else to fix this or provide more information for
fixing?

This bug affects me too. I have QuickCam Communicate STX Analog Mono input
and I have set internal soundcard as output-only device, so I have only one
sound input available.
After every reboot, USB microphone is deselected and muted(!) in sound
preferences dialog.
After every suspend-resume,
I noticed that keyboard indicator icon looked like bluetooth icon one time
before I caught this bug. Bluetooth indicator is to the left of keyboard
indicator.
Also, this bug seems to happen more likely after computer suspend, not fresh
boot, but this might be a coincidence.

No more crash reports after update, but plymouthd still seems to fall
back to text (Ubuntu and four dots) mode on my GeForce 9500 GT. Current
