Followup photo from this morning. Right hand side is the "problem"
scrren that was running when I came to the computer.
Left hand screen was initially off but woke up to the login/unlock
screen when I pressed a key.

Looking at #1382843 this is almost certainly what I am seeing rathe
I just had a crash. Happened the instant I tried to publish to flickr. I
upgraded to 14.10 yesterday and have had several crashes since, uploads
seem to work about 50% of the time.
I ran with:
export SHOTWELL_LOG=1
export G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all
shotwell &
attached shotwell.log but not all details

I just saw the same problem. I'm on a static IP on the local network and
thus ntpdate never runs.
Via the desktop config I had to force it to run by changing from
automatic to manual setting. Checking syslog this was the first time it
had run in at least 7 days and my clock was 19 seconds out.

This would appear to affect all Xen pacakges and prevent their install.
Package ubuntu-xen-server and ubuntu-xen-desktop both depend on
libc6-xen . This would make it hard to install Xen on a gutsy based
machine.
Please raise importance.
