I upgraded 2 machines on 19th Dec from 1204LTS to 1404LTS and the Firefox 43.0
which came with the upgrades works fine on these. But a machine which had a
bare metal install of 1404LTS a year ago received the Ffx43 update (exactly
same build) on Monday and is broken - can't download.
Need to
Actually Ffx (per #5) can download PDFs here, it just can't open them in
anything other than its own preview. But it won't download and save files.
If I set Prefs > Apps > PDF to Always Ask - it doesn't, and the download
history just says 'Failed'. Same if I set it to open in Okular or Adobe
The user's home directory was encrypted, so signing in without a
password is not valid.

We seem to have the same issue introduced with Ubuntu 14.04LTS:-
Error: stackunderflow, Command: pop
but only when printing from some websites with Firefox 36 (and before that 35).
Printers affected: Brother HL-5240, and Brother HL-6050, using the
recommended 'Brother model BR-Script3' drivers.
Forgot to mention: Firefox was tested in Safe Mode.

Can't setup the print setup certain options of firefox. The Option for Page
Setup doesn't have the option for setting headers and footers for all

Print Options can change the Headers + Footers for the current print, but the

Same for me, I can confirm that the brightness keys have no effect. If
started on battery then the screens stays dark on press of keys, and
does not change when plugged into mains later in the session. If started

I'm affected by this using Eclipse from the repository (3.5.2-8ubuntu3) and
liboverlay-scrollbar-0.1-0 (0.1.12-0-ubuntu1) on 64 bit.
Reinstalling liboverlay-scrollbar-0.1-0 doesn't fix it, but the workaround in
#34 does.
Don't understand why this is won't fix/invalid, it is a verifiable bug.
In os/os-utils.c the current program is compared to the blacklist in a
case-sensitive manner. eclipse is in the blacklist, but the program is
Eclipse (as seen in #31 above).
Suggest that the string comparison is made case-insensitive.

This bug is no longer affecting me. Trying the upstream kernel I found
that the only symptom was that the mpeg file appeared to be about to
play, but never started. Playing an xvid prompted the loading of codecs,
and after that mpegs play fine in the original kernel too.
